Rescued Horses Are the Best - 1

Post by delikatd »

FalconRidge Equine Rescue, located in San Diego County, has numerous ways for supporting the rescue and the rescued horses. Monetary donations are needed and very welcome. They can be made by clicking on the “Donate Now” button on the website:
http://falconridgerescue.org/

FalconRidge has both an Adoption program and a Sponsorship program.

“Helping one horse may not change the world, but it will change the world for that horse!”

SPONSORSHIP
The FalconRidge Sponsor-A-Horse program allows you to sponsor a rescued horse that is currently undergoing rehabilitation, retraining or is a sanctuary horse. Your contribution will help to provide the monthly feed directly for the horse of your choice. For $100 a month you can sponsor a horse for as long as you like. Sponsorship is a great way to help a special FalconRidge horse who has captured your heart, without actually owning it or incurring the entire costs of horse ownership. It also helps out the rescue to be able to support that horse during rehabilitation and enable us to rescue more horses. Email Nicki at nickbranch@aol.com if you are interested in sponsoring your own FalconRidge horse. There is only one sponsor per horse, so you won't be sharing your horse with anyone else.

ADOPTION
We are looking for loving homes FOR LIFE and owners who wish to commit to the horse as a family member, take the time to bond with it, train it further if needed, grow and learn with it. We would rather that horses be in homes as family members, not as worker bees who "have" to have a job. Some of these horses have already been through that or worse and deserve not to work. We do not adopt horses out as lesson horses. Horses make great pets in addition to riding companions and companions on the ground! Horses on the ground can help people who have PTSD or stress just by being around them!

Princess Jasmine is a 3 year old Arabian mare up for adoption. She was found running loose with 4 other horses in Elfin Forest and picked up by San Diego County AC. She appears to not have been handled much in the past, but now can be haltered and bathed. She has a cleft palate, so cannot be worked hard or she possibly might aspirate food particles into her lungs. She is available as a pasture companion or just backyard light riding only. Princess Jasmine is a super pretty girl that loves attention. Adoption fee $300

He has a swayback so needs a buildup pad. Starburst is gentle enough for kids and the grandkids. He is healthy and sound, 15 hands tall. Gorgeous boy! Adoption fee $500
