What an amazing class! I wish it lasted another 3 weeks. I feel like I have barely scratched the surface of the material. I think this one is my favorite - my husband and his red headed girl!!

What an amazing class! Need to go back and work on the classwork in depth. I'm excited about the oil and pastel painting. Had a hard time deciding which to post but went with the Oil Impasto. Will post the 'after' then the 'before'.

I loved this class but it was just too short. I still have lots of work to do and it is hard to choose a favorite. But I think both of the watercolor techniques are my favorites. This photo was done with the wet to wet - the more difficult of the two methods of watercolor - but I find I like the end result.

To Sherron and all my fellow classmates,
THANKS!!! I only regret that we couldn't continue much longer! I have learned so much and feel I have only scratched the surface. I also wish we could keep in touch and watch each others progress. Sherron, have you thought of maybe a page where we can put our email addresses and such to keep in touch?

I have two paintings I would like to put on this page. One is the Pug that Sherron recommended I crop and redo the strokes. I hope that this oil painting better captures the subject.
The second is a new oil painting that I have been working on for quite awhile (about a week and a half) I tried to use different brushes and techniques to make it interesting and I really like it. I also used a bit of a different technique with the canvas to try and make it look as if I painted a rough background first then added or layered the "paint" to make it look more traditional. Tell me if you think this "works". I seem to have gotten stuck on the CS5 Mixer Tool Technique and like it the best. I tried the later techniques but didn't like the result as much as this. I will continue to work at all the techniques and try to define a unique style.

Once again, Sherron, thanks for sharing your amazing abilities with others like myself.
Alicia
