Frosty Foggy Morning
Two or our horses share a morning drink on a cold December morning here in the Pacific Northwest (our location is Fall City, WA). The fog has now cleared out to a beautiful sunny day with blue skies.

Checkin' on the Girls...this is my Hubby out riding the pasture checking on the girls at sunset as he finished his day. Taken by Prosser, Washington on a very cold but sunny winter solstice day.

Winter Solstice is the perfect time for the farrier's visit and get ready for riding in the Canadian snow and pulling those sleighs full of delighted kids on Christmas day.

Re: 2011 Winter Solstice 24 Hour Project
A white pony and a warm blanket = bring on the snow! This cute guy lives just to the north of my home in Santa Fe, NM and as soon as it started snowing, I thought, perfect, I'll take a picture of a white horse in the snow for the Solstice Project. I was dismayed to find him outfitted in his snug red blanket but then realized he was totally ready for Christmas.
