This is the first image - and the primary source of the finished product. I didnt like the fact that the cowboy on the right was looking out of the frame. I also wanted to see the cowgirls face.

This is the second image I used. I liked the face of the cowgirl in this image. I think the cowboy behind her is better positioned. I removed the cowboy from the far right.

After working on the image for a bit I didnt like the empty space left by the removed cowboy so I added in some dusty background horses taken from the top left off this image. Now looking back at the original first image I think i could almost have left the cowboy on the right look out of the frame as the horses I added would have that make more sense.

= this! Using techniques that I learnt on the course using blending, layer masks and by playing around I came up with this which I am very happy with :D

"Phaeton"

The original image had another horse directly behind the palomino and was a full body shot of the two playing. I cropped into the horse, sharpened, added a levels adjustment layer, did some custom dodging and burning, and added a texture over the entire image. I then masked off the effect from the palomino. My last step was to change it to black and white.
