Hi all:
I have yet to receive a check from August and they were supposed to be sending it right out after my first inquiry. I cannot get my calls returned or emails answered and I haven't found a listing for phone numbers outside the main number. They also held up my check from last month because one product was a framed print that has yet to ship even though the rest of the $600 order shipped in October (it's to be 7 to 10 days for framed products). I am looking at other hosting sites and the possibility of just hosting my own. Too bad I paid my annual re-newal in August!
So . . . .any rumblings out there? Do I need to get my stuff off of their site ASAP? Are they crashing as we speak? I haven't decided about where to go yet.
Thanks!

Oh Lucy, I am sorry to hear this. I have stayed with them in the hopes this has all been sorted out. This happened to quite a few of us last winter after all the Holiday Orders had been placed, processed & shipped.
Check out this thread if you haven't already: http://www.equinephotographers.org/4um/ ... =printroom
And do keep us up to date on what happens.

Thanks for replying. Your response does have me worried that they will hold that last framed print in order to delay yet again paying me for the order. That will teach me to let my EPN membership lapse. I am not able to read the link, but feel a bit warned.

Lucy,
There were also some threads on this topic on Sports Shooter:

Not a pretty picture. A friend of mine still hasn't been paid from last November. It's not a lot of money so it's not like she's going to hire a lawyer but it's still fraud.

Oh sigh! That's an ugly thread! I was laid off of my full time job and am happily pursuing a mediation practice and putting more into my photography business. I will be sending a 10-day notice to pay letter to the CEO and then follow that up. I'm small stuff, but I need my income even more now. I'm so ticked! I received my sample papers and shots from Millers yesterday and they are so nice it makes me even more ticked. When Printroom completely messed up a huge order last year I should have just called it quits then.

Re: Printroom Not Paying -are they going out of business?
I had this problem with Printroom a few months ago and was hoping it was an isolated incident. I just launched my site with them this summer and my first check was from a July profit. The site says they cut checks "around" the 15th of the month so I assumed it would be cut "around" August 15th. I kept waiting and waiting. When I finally contacted them they said they would send it out right away. I didn't get a check until the middle of October, which from the sounds of things is lucky! It took lots and lots of emails and phone messages to get the check. I don't make much off the site but every little bit helps. I guess I'll start looking into new sites. Any suggestions?

There are a number of options mentioned in the Sports Shooter threads but two popular ones around here are SmugMug and Exposure Manager.
