Pay as a second shooter at a State Fair Show
It's been awhile since I've posted any on here but I have been asked to be a second shooter at the Kentucky State Fair. I would be shooting the backdrop on Wednesday and then taking over the main phtoographer's job for the remaining days of Thursday, Friday and Saturday. He double booked and will be leaving to shoot a show in Indiana. There is another photographer he's hired to shoot in the second arena also working the show. I have never been a second shooter at a show and don't know what to ask for pay. I think I'll be rooming either in a camper or sharing a room with one of the girls that will be working the photo booth so that part of my costs will be covered. Anyone that shoots as a second shooter or hires second shooters have any idea what to ask for payment? Thanks!

I think I'm good now and know what I'm going to ask.

Just in case, I've paid $ 130 in a bad economy and 500 in a good economy. The last few shows I did, it was payment if photos sold.
